Having won the hearts of the nation during her impressive Ďperfect 10í reign on BBC 1ís Strictly Come Dancing followed by her acclaimed West End debut in global dance extravaganza Burn the Floor, Aliís focus is back on her first love, acting.

Originally from Windsor, Ali attended Redroofs theatre school where she began her career as a professional actor at the age of 10. Having made her first foray into television with quintessentially English dramas such as Jane Eyre and A Touch Of Frost. Ali is best known for playing school teacher Becca Dean in the Channel 4 teen drama Hollyoaks from 2001 to 2007 where she enjoyed many challenging and controversial story lines. She then went on to swap one series of sensational storylines for another, joining the straight and narrow to become a staple on Britainís longest running and best-loved cop show, ITVís The Bill, playing feisty PC Sally Armstrong. With a career not confined to the small screen, Ali also appeared fairy Lull in the movie ĎA Fairy Tale: The True Storyí alongside Mel Gibson and Harvey Keitel.

Genuinely charitable by nature, Ali has thrown herself into campaigning and supporting cancer charities including the Teenage Cancer Trust and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Having lost both her auntie and Grandmother to the disease, itís an issue extremely close to her heart and she takes her role of Ambassador seriously.

The former model who remains signed to Storm, is currently in talks with Fair-trade to travel on a mission trip with the organisation and learn more about the work they undertake, Ali is far from your average self-absorbed celebrity; ďI recognize how fortunate I am, and I think Iíd gain more than anything by experiencing a more simplistic way of life for a while. Itís important to keep perspective.Ē

Blessed with beauty, talent and integrity, despite two decades of experience you sense Ali Bastian is a woman just beginning her career. ďIím excited about the future,Ē says Ali, and so are we.
